Founded by Harsha Sharma, an experienced entrepreneur with over nine years in the cafe industry, Shio Veg Cafe is committed to promoting sustainability, diversity, and community engagement through our thoughtfully crafted dishes.

WHY KYOTO JAPAN ?

Kyoto was a dream come true for me. It's a city that many dream of living in at least once. After spending a year here, I feel deeply connected to Kyoto. This beautiful and quaint place has grown on me. It’s where the energy of a bustling city meets the calmness of tradition and nature, where the past meets the future.

Kyoto is a popular spot for tourists from both within Japan and around the world, creating abundant opportunities for businesses like cafes and restaurants to flourish. While catering to the tastes of both locals and tourists, I wish to seize the chance to contribute to Kyoto’s culinary scene. With the growing demand for sustainable choices, I aim to introduce more people to delicious vegetarian and vegan options.

By hosting workshops, art exhibitions, and more, I want “Shio” to become a comfortable space where people can enjoy good food and good times, becoming an integral part of Kyoto's vibrant cultural tapestry.

I have faced many difficulties, but I have overcome them, gaining experience and incorporating what I have learned to move forward. I am confident that I can achieve this vision.
